This one is a short, fun ride from Castro Valley out into wine country, around a few hills and back to Castro Valley for a lunch/dinner/snack at a 50's era diner named Val's

Here are some special notes and directions for the run.

1. A quick pit stop is included about half way through the run.
2. BE ALERT!! There could be cyclists and definitely will be deer at some point along the way.

0	Near HWY I-580 Crow Canyon freeway exit. Beginning at Park and Ride on Center St. in Castro Valley, TURN RIGHT to Castro Valley Blvd. At Crow Canyon Rd. the name changes to East Castro Valley Blvd. CONTINUE to Palo Verde Rd.
2.6	At this point E.C.V. Blvd. Becomes Dublin Canyon Rd. CONTINUE on Dublin Canyon Rd. to traffic light at Foothill Blvd.	Just past Crowne Plaza Hotel
7.6	TURN RIGHT onto Foothill Blvd. FOLLOW Foothill Blvd. To Bernal Ave.
10.7	No turn. CONTINUE to ...
12.2	Castlewood Country Club Entrance. Continue ...	Very pretty and available to reciprocating membership rules.
15.6	At the intersection of Kilkare Rd. and Foothill Blvd, .) cross railroad tracks and TURN RIGHT into the parking lot.	Do this to make a pit stop (porta toilets) and/or to keep the mileage accurate.
	Leaving the parking lot, TURN RIGHT on Main St. and merge onto Niles Canyon Rd. (State rt. 84)	When you see the B L I N K I N G Y E L L O W     L I G H T --- Be prepared to make an immediate right turn after going under the railroad overpass!
19.6	Turn onto Palomares Road. Continue on Palomares Rd. (Watch For Deer), to Palo Verde Rd.	In executing the turn you probably won't even see the sign. A couple wineries in the first portion of this segment. Westover Winery and Chouinard Winery. Both considered excellent. Chouinard holds several events during the year.
29.0	TURN RIGHT on Palo Verde Rd., THEN LEFT at the intersection of E. Castro Valley Blvd. And Dublin Canyon Rd.	Here we are backtracking on E. Castro Valley Blvd.
32.0	Next, TURN LEFT on Crow Canyon Rd. (Traffic Light). LEFT on Center St. and LEFT on Kelley St. at the three way intersection of Center St, "B" St., and Kelley St.	This is Val's Restaurant. Enjoy!!
